It’s sad and yet it’s riveting. It gives pause to the thought that Joe Manchen doesn’t give a flying f*** about his West Virginians. I know this was 2009 but the culture exists today. The poorest states are Red and there’s not a Red Representative who fights to bring their people out of poverty, addiction, mental illness. Why? They could be raised up and find meaning to life. Cycles can be broken. It takes courage, money and compassion.
