This is a very ugly film. Yes I get the message about women but what an ugly way to convey it. I don't understand how these actors, especially Emma Stone, ever agreed to do it.

Some of the dialogue was mumbled. The film seemed to skip over details. It lacked depth.

A brilliant movie that reflects the evolution of the Women's Movement in this one strange story. It takes you on an emotional journey and presents you difficult choices. The acting is superb, a movie that will challenge your thinking, a arvellous movie.

Sumptuous costumes and castles but lacking in plot with a silly story of "downstairs intrigue". Trying all the plots lines neatly into happy endings gave the movie a "Disney" quality. The writing was disappointing, but the costumes were divine.

Why on earth would Emily have kidnapped her Son and his step.other. It doesn't make sense for her husband to believe that.
