I want to read this book. The author is a great Scholar of the discipline of Geography. I have not been able to procure this book. Most of the books by Prof Haggett I have gone through. I shall convey my feedback once I read the book. My best regards to the author.

When I first read it in SOAS library, I developed a new feeling, a new sense to the land I and my community belong. I was introduced to a world which I intimately shared in my childhood, to which my mind and the body was deeply rooted. That is a place I spontaneously like best among the best places I have so far visited. I tried to express all my feelings and experiences on places in my small book - Nijor Thaai Nijor Ghor (in Assamese) - My own place, my own home. This is one of the finest books ever of produced for the biginners of higher education in geography. It provides a holistic but coherent picture of what geography really stands for. Global Synthesis is a synthesis of the diverse fields of geography very thoughtfully and skillfully knitted by a highly experienced and brilliant mind. I always begin my first class of the semester one with reference to this book. I have great regard to the writer of the book whom I met in the most fertile space of the department of geography, University of Bristol.
