2019 Lion King, has been the biggest disappointment to me of any of the live action remakes. The graphics where amazing, the lions looked real, and the scenes where beautiful. But what I disliked so much was the lack of heart and soul. I disliked every characters voice over with the exception of James Earl Jones and Beyoncé. And I love many of the actors in other movies. But not in this one, I just felt it was like listing to someone read a lines and could have cared less to be there. I think with different voice actors this movie could have been great. And I would not have liked this movie even if I hadn’t seen the original 90 billion times. But one thing the 1994 original and other movies got correct was the emotion. Idris Elba would have made such a fantastic Scare, instead of getting the since that scare is evil, mean, backstabbing, I felt he was just mopping around. I personally don’t care if I ever see this movie again. It definitely won’t be anything I ever watch intentionally. I give this movie a 3/10 strictly on the cgi. If you liked this movie that’s awesome, it just wasn’t for me. And I would never recommend it.
