I suppose many of us expected the same chemistry between Stabler and Benson immediately. It wasn't. And, still isn't. Lots of people loved Kathy and Elliott together over the years. Yet, here she is used as someone that was mainly relevant as the "woman who stood by her man". It was painful to hear her ask if her husband REALLY didn't stay in touch? And, sweet, suffering Kathy died, so, she wouldn't be in the way. Far better off if Olivia ran into the Stablers at a coffee house. Or, Olivia seeig them walking into a romantic restaurant. Start over, writers, and have it be a Stabler nightmare. Listen to what the viewers are saying.
