Do NOT read the reviews before you see the show!!!! You are all missing the point of the show. It’s based in regards to the regular day to day lives of school children in a minority neighborhoods and their struggles not only regarding the student, but administration as well. Being a Los Ángeles native and being in the LAUSD school district for all my years of grade school, this is relatable but also refreshing to have real life scenarios displayed. For some it might be uncomfortable, but that’s the reality of it and sometimes it isn’t the prettiest flower in the field. What you’re seeing is the day to day reality of people living in urban neighborhoods such as Long Beach. The true meaning from this show are that children are our future. And despite some of the obstacles that come their way, they have an amazing authority figure that shows them constantly that they are capable of great things. “Work hard and be nice!”
