It's truly amazing that this wonderful series is in its 15-year, seven-season run with no sign of slowing down or falling apart (unlike you-know-what GoT). Great casting, acting and plots (for each season, very relevant to reality, too). And when you talk about a heroin, Berthaud is a true one, much better than Hollywood cartoon/lip service pop-ups. And Karlson is another one, a woman who would not give up trying to make it in the world dominated by men and sleazy. Well, I suppose if one loves Marvel films, this one may not be for him or her. Now, the eighth season is out, during the pandemic!

Northern European style, and arguably the best, crime series. As an American, I find their style of interweaving crime and punishment, political intrigue and daily human life story most appealing. to an average North American viewer, the complain may be that it is too slow, but that's a personal preference from the simple American mind inundated by Marvel and Superman enterprises. How Saga's character is wholesomely shaped is just wonderful, and I noticed that European shows have taken it for granted to have lead roles going to women, in a natural and believable way! As a man I applaud their efforts and success. Refreshing.

It's rare and precious to see a very well conceptualized and executed production like this one. In the true spirit of Scandinavian creation ve cultural products, Trapped slowly takes hold of your attention and press you to feel spellbound. The essence of this one, similar to "The Bridge" and "The Killing" (Swedish-Danish and Danish versions), is that it interweaves suspense and thrills with broader social challenges and political intrigue, thence placing the crimes in context. It is a noble and successful efforts, and true artistic renditions, NOT cheap thrills. Also, Trapped conveys vividly the daunting beauty of northern Iceland, and a town of 1,200 people. Desolate and resilient, the place is like its people, and an outsider from afar could not help but fall in love with both. Trapped is a perfect TV series for these long nights during the pandemic, and I wish we'd have the third season ready NOW.

This is arguably the best spy/intrigue tv series there is. At times, the storyline drifts a bit, and other times the character maintenance gets a little sloppy. At the same time, I was entirely spellbound by a series that treads such a current, deep and vital scene of the world can be this intense, this well-conceived and executed, and this tirelessly inspiring! This TV series shows how reality and arts can be married in such harmonious unison, and you'd have to give the French artists the highest reverence for their determination not to rush and not to resort to gimmicks. I hope it'd be transitioning to the next season with the same vigor and thoughtfulness as the original creator is passing the torch. I must add that the plots are so realistic in light of what has happened in Iran/the Middle East lately, and the French have done a great job portraying the intricate web of spies and plotters. The relationship among "the Western allies," i.e., the CIA, Mossad and the Bureau, etc. are just breathtakingly realistic and,, henceforth, nerve-racking.

What does this film have to do with China? Noe of these actors are Chinese
