*This is a spoiler free review I am not one to typically enjoy fantasy novels. In fact, I tried reading Six of Crows about a year ago and didn’t make it past 60 pages. Although, I picked it up again about a week ago and could not put it down. I will admit, the first 80 pages or so are quite hard to get through, but once you get past it and have a feel for the Grishaverse, oh man it gets good. The character and world building in this story is amazing. It is phenomenal that Bardugo made such well developed characters, each with an interesting backstory. Each and every character’s perspectives were enjoyable to read. Everything from the fantasy, to the romance, to the action was just perfect. I cannot wait to read the sequel. I definitely recommend giving Six of Crows a try.
