Started watching before S2. The really good parts: Rue and her addiction is well done, acted, shot like the drug dealer who cares for her after she takes fent? Brilliant (scary, anxious) scene. The creepy jock dad is not original and played for sex shock in E1. The slow-mo cinematography of over sexed teens, the hazy orange lit living rooms, the clueless or screwed up parents (who, like all teen TV show parents apparently never know or care where their kids are, day or night) are scripted for teens to feel this is legit and yeah some of it is but everyone looks 25 and it’s more college than high school and why is the heavy girl unpopular and lonely one minute and then sleeping over with the cool girls the next? Ppl love Zendaya and she’s great so they love HER show and the full frontal male nudity got teens thinking oh my parents will hate this so it’s legit for me. Sex Education is better IMO.
