As I read Mary's Heart, I could not help but draw parallels to the world we live in now. Even though this is a children's book, anyone at any age can relate to the message that we all need 'good air' and to take care of our Kind plant. Mary's Heart also highlights the importance of self-reflection in response to how contagious kindness is. If everyone were to read Mary's Heart and walk away with the goal to choke their Mean plant, our world would be in a much more peaceful place. Thank you for the thoughtful message, Ava!
