Simply brilliant. Lazzaro has stayed with me since I saw it two months ago. The best film that I've seen in a long while. The the story constantly evolves in a surprising yet coherent way, a fresh view of an Italian landscapes, with skillfully created characters in a narative that is both very contemporary and as old as the hills. In years to come it will be viewed as one of cinemas richest moments.
