By far, and I mean it's not even close, the absolute worst Mario Golf game to ever be made. Do not waste your money on this one unless you'll be using it often with friends, and even then you have much better options. The focus on speed golf, which is a gimmick that detracts from the mechanics that have made Mario Golf great in the past, has led to a game so underwhelming in design and content that it is vastly inferior to the original Mario Golf, a game more than two decades old. There is no excuse for how horrible this game is.

A tattered mess of a game that's only redeeming quality (outside of music, which is low on my list of important qualities for a game to have) is being the conclusion to a decade long story. Combat is bloated and meaningless behind attractions and team attacks, development mechanics are abysmally shallow and do not encourage replay, and the worlds and narrative are as lifeless as anything I've ever played. Pass.
