A definite tear-jerker. Skeezer the Dog will steal your heart. A beautiful made for TV movie from a time when thought and care went into making motion pictures, not sleaze and reality television.

"The ABC Weekend Specials" hold a special place in my heart. There was so much love and care put into each of these 30 minute episodes. I can't tell you how many times I went to my library to check out the book featured on that week's special. Watching these as a 10 year old boy in 1983 with my mom and late father are some of the most precious moments of my life.

I absolutely loved this show. The people who worked so hard to make this series great really cared about making the world a better place for the young people of the 1970s and 1980s. As a boy who watched the show back then, it showed me that children my age on the other side of the world had things in common with me, despite our differences. "The Big Blue Marble", "Sesame Street:, "The ABC Weekend Specials", and "Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood" were the best educational children's television of all time, IMO.
