Genuine social issues: Extremely anti-feminist movie which grossly promotes toxic masculinity. The dude is always screaming and misbehaving with everyone. The girl basically has no personality. It’s unrealistic and is a joke and an insult to people whose families are genuinely suffering from issues like alcoholism, depression and medical/mental illnesses or instability. Everybody involved in making this film has to be absolutely mental and either extremely detached from reality or so apathetic that all they care about is making money. As for how it is cinematically: there is no story, having copied and pasted from different, equally cringe-worthy, cliches which have come before it. There’s something so horribly wrong with the dude’s voice and he’s always riding rash on that ridiculous Harley (come on is that even a real Harley- you guys couldn’t give him a respectable enough bike at least?). Low fitted bar mirrors, no helmet, zig-zagging on a straight road- I don’t think he’ll ever earn any respect from our biker community. In fact people like him are why we are often disgraced. As for the girl, I think she did the best with what toxic-man-lover character she was given. There’s zero chemistry between these two and we don’t even see them get closer, how she moves on from her past, how suddenly the dude cares about his father after behaving like a child in public and throwing him in front of car (like are you 12 years old?). It’s just a big mess. With such famous producers, maybe Bollywood should stop selling these stale stories for 14 year old hormonal children and start making some real cinema.

What a nightmare this movie was- from a cliched, uninteresting and unimaginative plot to horrible CGI to weird accents and scary bad acting by everyone except Kajol (I am so shocked she actually put in the effort to act for the role). There was ZERO effort from the director’s end and it made the glaringly bad script and plot even worse. However, I’m convinced this movie will give rise to female infanticide- which IS A VERY REAL WORLD PROBLEM YOU PRIVILEGED RICH DIRECTORS, because mainly sacrificing Kajol’s daughter in the beginning of the film (when she was born) would’ve solved all problems really, and I don’t think people in rural India who GENUINELY believe this stuff and are scared for not just THEIR lives, but also for their whole family, will wait for some superwoman to come and save them. The existence of God is debatable whereas every day girl children are killed. And this movie gave the killers more reason to kill them- because goddess Kali possessing some woman to save a village JUST DOES NOT HAPPEN.

Just an insult to the original story.

THE scariest horror movie i have watched til date. Amazingly subtle scares, it just creeps up on you leaves you feeling shocked and scared at the same time. Most of it is made of new content, and instead of using jump scares (which are terrible btw), Gonjiam takes a very realistic route and portrays the supernatural through, mostly, human actions. I loved it.

It is sweet, fun and mysterious all at the same time. A must watch for all Otakus.

Absolute must watch for adults as well as teenagers, especially teenagers, who need to be aware of these happenings. Amazing direction, acting and screenplay. Overall a huge success.
