Sidney and Charlotte made me cringe - he seemed much too old for her. I felt like I was watching her fall in love with an older brother. I also thought his character's behavior would have made sense if he had been closer to her age, as he was in Austen's book. Is mood swings just seemed weird in someone his age. She had more in common with Young Stringer, so I am disappointed they didn't get together, even though I knew how it would end. I did like Esther, though.
