I've been playing rtts ever since the first one came out, and this one I would not recommend anyone to buy. The last one I bought was 2016 and that one is waaaaaay more fun than this one. You used to get training points based on game performance and spend those points however you see fit, now you have no say whatsoever how your attributes are increased. After a few seasons, my player would be level 99 in every attribute, now I'm capped at lvl 50 plus any boosts from acquired equipment that I might have. Simulating games gets me nothing at all towards my player, so in order to improve my player I have to play every game of every season? They have ruined this game franchise for me, and I'll not buy another one without reading about it first to see if they changed it back to the way that it was. If you are looking for the best baseball game to play, buy a used older version, you'll have more fun, and less yelling at the TV. The only reason I'm giving it two stars is because it's still a good baseball game, just not nearly as good as it was. I'm soooo not impressed with the changes that they made.
