Overselling the emotional moments in the script. Burnam doesn't need to be crying every 5 minutes. Less is more. This is the only incarnation of the Star Trek franchise that I can no longer stand to watch. It's too bad, I liked Discovery first season, it had promise. Anson Mount was excellent. This series is in dire need of a good sized dose of good old fashioned Vulcan stoicism to give it some balance.
