It looked good with special effects to begin with. The premise of an Alien abductee being treated with sceptiisim despite his compelling evidence was interesting. Especially with ongoing inexplicable results.
- But writers didn't seem to know what to do with their story after that except to drag it out for another hour and a half.
My suspicions were first aroused when the anonymous "Truthseeker" the main character contacted online - turned out to be a hot chick his age who needed his protection.
The top secret govermment agency that eventually showed up didn't seem to know what it's own agender was beyond a vague revenge grudge by one of its agents.
The appearance of the unrealistic and hopelessly inefficient androids was ridiculous, especially when the top secret government agency they belonged to was fine with them marching around town and attacking people in public trains while standing out like... people dressed up as androids. And despite costing billions to develop were easily defeated by pushing and shoving.
When the aliens returned we discovered their main reason for travelling light years was to ask Earthlings who Jesus was, and seemed completely satisfied with the answer: "He's Jesus"
The wicked agents arrived and the day was saved by the protagonist using his still unexplained superpowers, leaving the MIB's kinda bumbed that everyone had escaped and gave up on the whole thing.
The movie finally shambles to an end with everyone living on a paradise island and the guy getting the girl. Aliens, Secret agents and Christian Revelations all forgotten and safely irrelevant again.
2 stars.
