First, great visual effects. I think that's already expected in this age with advance technology. The story is ok but they should have focused on Scorpion's origin or how and why did the realms started Mortal Kombat. Most of the characters felt like rushed and became irrelevant as they were all squeezed into the 1hr and 45min movie. There are cringing moments as well when characters keep saying "Mortal Kombat" or "Flawless Victory" etc. They should have an ancient word for it or something that's more aligned with the world within the story. Most characters were ruined esp. Liu Kang, he's so delicate and lost. The Bruce Lee like fighting style/attitude is nowhere to be seen. And Cole Young? is he supposed to be there? I'm no movie critic but it's just my opinion as a fan of the game. I look forward to better Mortal Kombat film/s. Or maybe it would be best to do it in TV series. Why not?

Wow. what happened to the storyline and common sense? Spoiler Alert!!! It's like they came up with a story that's already out of line from what they started. What happened to the CARS and RACES? To be honest, Fast Five was still relevant, Fast 6 and 7 was okay, tolerable. But Part 8 and 9, not to mention the upcoming Fast X. They already veered away from the story. It's like a burger without a patty. And Ok, Hahn is back but what? he was like a special agent or something? And the three guys from Tokyo Drift, they ended up being nutjobs attaching rockets to a Pontiac Fiero? Why? The stunts were so full of CGI it looks like a computer game. Most of the time, it'll make you laugh because it doesn't make sense. That EMG on the truck scene, it was turned on so many times during the first minutes of the chase. It did not affect any cars nearby. But when they turned it on again, it pulled a full sized luxury sports car smashing through the walls of a building? The movie became like Mission Impossible and Avengers crossover. How come Dom and Jacob became a hulk-like creatures where they can smash through walls, jump to a moving cars to another, grappling mid air, and wreck concretes by pulling a huge chain attached to it. Dom is also like invincible. He can always dodge an explosion, survive from vehicles flipping and rolling. But do you remember the crash from the first film when his car's engine blew up? He can barely walk out from it. Anyways, Maybe they're milking what they still can from the "hype" but they should have concluded it when Paul Walker passed away (May God rest his soul). They can't just write off his character. It has always been Brian and Dom. Whatever it takes.
