Like the movie or not, but We gotta be real here, it’s the most realistic thing a serial killer would do, a Dr. would do and the victim would do. What I mean by that is the gore and human like Michael is what we need to understand what he really wants which was Laurie. If in the first Halloween they show him as a normal boy you gotta remember he’s not a ghost he’s a person and As a serial killing psychopath he’s gonna kill anything in his way. Personally in my opinion I feel like there was so much gore was because he was angry that Laurie got away in the first movie and wanted to finish the job completely hence he was shot and killed in the end.
Second the scene where he’s eating a dog... once again he’s a human not a robot he needs to eat to survive he needs to sit and rest his legs. they were making the film realistic however was not a fan that it was a dog being eaten it hurt my heart. Third, the screaming and emotion shows the trauma any of US would have if this were to happen to us. While I understand the fanatics wanted a rebooted version of a classic STORY. This was not. it was a REALISTIC story and I was honestly pleased with the gore scenes and the real Michael. In my opinion the John carpenter movies were very predicting and dry. Good story, basic killing and not that scary at all. His 2018 was better with better killing effects hence it’s not the 70s
