A quality film that you want to keep watching even after 3 hours 20 minutes. The acting, unsurprisingly is first class with great attention to detail by Robert DeNiro and Al Pacino; Joe Pesci is so good in his characterisation of Russell Bufalino throughout the decades. The film just oozes class and as always Martin Scorsese employs a contemporary soundtrack to complement the action. This will be one of the films of my lifetime and has already settled itself alongside Goodfellas, The Godfather, LA Confidential and the Usual Suspects as one of the go to “comfort” films. Can’t praise it highly enough.
