It hurts me to put this at 2 stars because I’ve watched footage of Rust for years and I’ve always wanted to play, unfortunately I don’t have a PC but I do have a console. So finally it came out on console and I was so excited for it but honestly, it isn’t worth playing unless you have AT LEAST two friends playing it as well. If you have to play by yourself you can be the most passive, friendly and cautious person in the server but you’ll still just be gunned down and robbed by a gang of fully armoured guys with ARs because hey, why not shoot anything that moves that isn’t one of us, regardless of threat level? People may think I’m being soft or say it’s just how its played but me personally, I think people playing like that ruin the game. I’ve never played the game up until recently so I’m still learning a lot of parts to it but it seems 90% of the time I’ve spent on it has been running away from armed enemies, running back to my previous dead body or bleeding out on the floor. All in all I think it’s a great concept that has been somewhat ruined by the excessively aggressive players.
