I was extremely excited to see my daughter watching this show. As a woman in her late 30’s who used to read the books as a young child, I was relieved to see my 9 year old loving this show and it could be something we could enjoy watching together. Unfortunately during one of the episodes, one girl says that her parents are divorced (not a big deal but...) then goes on to say her dad is gay. My daughter asked me what that meant. I have no problems with the LBGTQ community, however I don’t believe this should be introduced in a rated G show. The next episode had a little boy that was transitioning into a little girl. I was not happy with the writing of the show seeing as this was rated G. I can’t believe I have to monitor a show rated G for these topics. Stick to the books and stop trying to groom our young children. Very disappointed Netflix!!
