What a fascinating, fast-paced story. A young Jewish girl is snatched from the jaws of death, during World War 2, on more than one occasion and eventually goes 'underground'. Reading this during COVID-19 'lockdown', the story really resonated with me. I could hardly imagine how the author of this true story managed to stay silent and hidden for so long, without detection. I also found the hostility towards her as a very young girl very moving, as we see it through the eyes of a six year old at the beginning of the narrative. This is the second time I have read the book and I have found it even more powerful and moving than I did the first time. Highly recommended.
