I dont understand how Stephen King allowed his story to be so completely and utterly butchered. Did he give up all control over this production? Was he offered so much money that he didn't care? The Stand is such a good story. I had the hope that this remake would be an upgrade to the original mini series with a better budget and maybe a little more true to the storyline. The timeline was so disjointed that it made the story confusing to follow and it made the character development impossible. The result is that I did not care about these characters and found them uninteresting. It seems like they also changed the characters enough so that they aren't the same characters. This also has the result of making the characters uninteresting and boring. What a disappointment!
