Linda Rust

Very unlikeable main character. She’s a typical English aristocrat full of assumptions about her own inherent superiority because she happened to be born into an old landed family. In the first episode she scoffs at the idea of the common folk being allowed to vote. She was what was considered masculine in mannerisms and dress, but I’m sure she got away with her “eccentricities” because she had the money and a family name that gave her that latitude in the class conscious British upper classes. She would have been much more interesting, and admirable, if she’d been so revolutionary without those advantages.

The movie opens with Lee, Sam Elliott's character, doing a voiceover commercial for BBQ sauce. ( Beef, it's what's for dinner) An aging actor with no remaining job options, Lee is diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, probably the least survivable cancer there is. Facing death...well if you're old enough to ponder your own mortality, you should appreciate this movie . And it's Sam Elliott, still handsome and still the sexiest voice on planet Earth at the age of 72.

Poor writing executed by shallow acting with a sugary and heavy-handed dose of Evangelical imagery. Playing on the popularity of Lost without the writing and acting talent. Also without the dark humor, there is no "Hurley" character in this show, just lots of schmaltzy soap opera takes on relationships and some hit-you - over - the-head references to faith. And for a supposed sci fi show, it certainly is anti-science.
