This movie was good for certain aspects. I did enjoy the attention being brought to the issues young black women, and women of color in general face as opposed to young white women. That is extremely important. However, they could have fleshed out the young trans girl’s (Josie Tota) character a bit more. At the end when the girls were giving speeches there could have been a short speech given by CJ (Josie) about trans inclusion in the feminist movement and why it’s so important. Especially given the high crime and violence rate trans women of color face to this day.
