The movie is for fans and that's about what it's got goin for it. There are some super fun/classic moments in there that def made it worth watching; but overall, it was obviously rushed. It reminds me of movies I made with my cousins when I was 12 and was coming up with the script on the spot and hoping it would make sense in the end. The movie seemed like it was probably more fun to make then to watch.
On a technical note, the grading was oddly over exposed in many scenes and the micing/audio mixing was a complete mess. Some dialogue was awkwardly kept even though it seems the mic didn't fully catch it and the music was mixed wayy too high in many scenes washing important dialogue out. There were also scenes with unfitting music and dramatic music buildups/drops that kinda detracted from the scene (that part is more just my personal taste though).
All in all, psych movies are really fun and I'll always keep watching them. Thank you to the director and cast for still pouring into the fanbase. I just wish the movies were as well thought out as the show episodes.
PS, thank you for the awesome guest castings like Joel Mchale and Zackari Levi (in the last movie)! I wish Joel Mchale's character made more sense in this movie and was as important as Zackari Levi's in the last movie.
