I'm sorry, but there is no way that it took a foreign exchange student from Sweden for there to be a guy taller than the 6'1 main character, Jodi. The movie was clearly shot in an attempt to make all other characters look abnormally short in comparison to her. This kind of treachery is not to be tolerated by clear-minded and honest viewers. Filming a movie in a way that caricatures the main character's height in order to make her life seem harder is borderline manipulative. I simply cannot understand why money would be put into making a movie about one girl's slightly difficult life (although her height and lack of confidence seem to be the only difficulties in it) when there are real issues that should be portrayed in films. Films have the power to invoke thought and possibly even action. Why not spend all of that money and effort and make a difference in this broken world?
That said, if Jodi wanted to fit in at her school and not be bullied, she simply had to join the basketball team. Her classmates would have worshipped the ground she walked on. It is also extremely unrealistic to think that her classmates would wildly cheer after she crashed her homecoming and gave a speech about how great she is (especially wearing that monstrosity). 10/10 recommend if you're down to talk some trash.
