The album is a departure from their indie folk/ pop folk origins to a more synth/electronic pop feel. So fans of their albums my head is an animal and beneath the skin might feel a bit left out. The album is as expected perfectly executed with lots of attention to detail. Every track feels necessary and on point. Contrary to some reviews on the album I've come across the band has certainly not lost their magic!! They still manage to infuse their stylistic brilliance into this album with colorful melodies that you will want to sing along to! This is a great album by any measure!!
