I normally love Donna Everhart's books and read them in 3 sittings, but could not get into this one. Joetta cracking her knuckles over and over was just annoying. There were also tense changes and incorrect wording along with typos. Just not her usual style. Seemed like this one was rushed or written by a ghost writer. Don't recommend. Not even close to the quality of writing of Saints of Swallow Hill.

The topic is an important one, but it was executed so cheesily and Hallmark-y, it really lost the seriousness for me. I'm a pretty emotional person and this didn't touch on any of those emotions as it should have.

The acting was sub-par with ridiculously lengthy discussions about death between characters. I had to fight the urge to skip ahead. The whole vampire thing is so over-done.
