This is the second Bertolucci movie I have seen and I have mixed feelings about it. As a start, I definitely consider it aesthetically pleasing, every shot gave me an eyegasm. It was absolutely beautiful. The choice of the cast was amazing and gave each role justice. Lucy aka Liv Tyler was this innocent beautiful girl, whose beauty is considered remarkable but not to the point that makes the movie hard to relate to. However I felt like the storyline was kinda awkward and weird, I mean it may be a coming of age movie but there were a lot of plots and details, and not a single one of them was given too much attention. Some people might find this kind of movie entertaining because it makes them feel like they're following a true person's life, but when it comes to me I think the movie should have focused on one particular struggle because boy THERE WERE TOO MANY: The nicolo thing, the virginity thing, the 'looking for my father thing', the 'i finally found my father', the 'richard just tried to lick my tongue', the 'i just lost my virginity with a sweet boy', the 'alex might die thing'. LIKE GIRL stop acting like an alien and feel emotions. All lucy did was laugh at things that aren't always considered normal then forget about them.
