This movie is worthy of 5 stars. It was very well made all around, regardless of my opinions on the actual movie. That being said, I'm going to address the reason this movie is even getting low ratings.
It's not PG. The fact that this movie is rated PG when it probably should've been rated PG-7 or something is not the fault of the movie itself but the MPAA. Take it up with them. This error doesn't make this movie a bad movie.
Now one of the reasons it's not PG is because of the censored words. Personally, I don't think the dog actually said any swear words and those bleeps were there for the jokes. And yes, some people didn't find it funny. But if you think about it, if we're gonna talk about instilling values in our kids, I would've been more upset about the bears' reaction. That way they learn a very important lesson: swearing is appalling.
The second thing is the big, bad wolf. Apparently, the wolf was too big and too bad for the young ones and that's fine. Again, that's the MPAA's fault.
Lastly, the animations were bad. Let me assure you that these people are merely trolls or otherwise have poor eyesight. But all jokes aside, the graphics weren't bad. Don't take your disappointment in the movie out on the graphics.
