So far the first two episodes have been slow and steady along introducing the new characters and getting back in touch with the older ones as well. Sorcha the ever diligent warrior, now queen. Willow, always with the weight of the worlds placed on him and the will and now seasons to bear it once more. The new characters are still a bit too new to gauge well, though the prince of Tir Aslean is doing a fine job of following in his father's personality if not his footsteps. The action has been lacking as of yet but the show is just getting started and it's not called Willow's War after all, lol. The comedy up to now has been the type to bring a smile and a laugh but not the type to distract from the story of the show, maybe the Brownies will manage that part later like before. Overall thus far a very good show, Warwick Davis appears to have never put Willow aside in the intervening years but to have kept him in his hip pocket all along waiting for the day to play him once again.
Update for episode 3:
Great action and energy with this episode. Lots of things about WIllow's reticence make more sense now. Interesting play on the meeting in the woods though sad for what it was. Nice continuance all around. Not sure where all the ill reviews came from since last week, some folks can't be happy it's against their very being I guess. That cliché quote comes to mind about pleasing some but not all the people.
Update for episode 4:
Spooky but cool. Lots of reliance on the past but with new facts added in the case of the new characters. The final scene between Graydon and Dove was somewhat too easy but the lead up to it all was fantastic. The show continues to please quite well, I believe many of the early negative reviews were as per usual too fast out of the gate for their own good.
Update for episode 5:
Fun episode, some interesting facts, one great cameo, and the totally wrong place to play a song like Crimson and Clover, lol. A bit too Guardians-esque there.
Update for episode 6:
Another good episode. The trolls were Great, and greatly unexpected as well. Allagash was hilarious and heroic as only Christian Slater could make him. Lots of new info for the mystery behind Madmartigan in this one as well. And then...Good Vibrations, well at least it was by the proper artists unlike some others, lol.
Update for episode 7:
This episode went alot deeper into the personal issues of the characters and brought forth more hard emotions than the previous few. Made it quite an interesting watch. Not as much humor but some here and there. Now for the finale.
Update for episode 8:
Quite and interesting finale, very well done over all. Parts toward the end were predictable but only once you got that far into it. Loved the scene before the credits giving away how many seasons they are planning. The scene foreshadowing what's next for the adventure was a nice salute to the original movie with certain baddies reappearing.
And then they played the last song, lol.
Could be a foreshadowing of how they feel making Willow will be for them, lol. Still and awesome song though.
