I'm a little disappointed in the plot and how fast the time line is.
Basically the main issue orginally in the book is that Hannah Aced her midterm and Garrett did not, so he begs her to tutor him. In exchange Garrett stated he will fake date her to help her seem more unattainable to her crush so Hannah's crush will like her. Hannah agrees to this.
This major plot point only lasted until half way through the book before being solved. Hannah ended up not even going out with her previous crush (not even ONCE) to create suspension of what her and Garrett were in their relationship.
NOT ONLY THAT, this main plot point took only 1 month real time in a book. Hannah studying with garret, going to parties, practicing her winter concert, kissing Garrett, then telling Garrett all about her trauma was ONE WHOLE MONTH. LORD I got whiplash from the rush of the time line.
Don't get me wrong I love a spicy book and I love slow burn, but this felt forced to create a relationship between the two and there was no room for character growth or increased "what are we" tension I enjoy so much in a book.
I don't regret reading this book (mainly because I really enjoyed Garrett's perspective) but I will only recommend it due to some of the poorly described scenes. It definitely felt like a YA wrote a story about college.
