The movie is definitely not perfect but, I'm still giving it a 5-star rating. Prof. Shonku is a complex character with an insane type of storyline to go with it. Prof. Shonku was an early attempt to visualize the possibilities of the future & still in 2019, these things are extremely hard to portray on screen. Specially with the kind of budget this movie was was produced with, doesn't even come close to the actual budget you need to make a nearly perfect Prof. Shonku movie. The movie doesn't meet the expectations of those who have visualized the original Satyajit Ray version, found on the books. But as a first attempt, I'll say it was pretty good. I hope they'll make more Prof. Shonku films and get better with the story, the visuals and the character at core.
