What the world needed in a time where critics now just want movies that have their idea of entertainment, which is having politics involved into the film, which just bores everyone to death with how dull it is. Critics just don’t get the audience in what they want. While the story isn’t the strongest, it’s the action and visual effects that kick it to be the one of the best films if not the best of 2021. Godzilla and Kong stand tall and proud in all their glory as they battle for the top spot. If you just want pure entertainment in a time of which critics just want what they think is good and bad directors just give them what they want, Adam Wingard gives the audience what they want: a fight for the ages that delivers on what it sets out to do.
