Dia is the genre film and almost artistic in nature. It's so heartwarming to know that such a film is made in my mother tongue and it also disheartening to know that it didn't get the recognition it deserved.
Dia has simple story. There is no complexity in storytelling. But the situation that the characters get into is complicated that it's even difficult to handle it in reality. It's way of approach to life is so real.
This film is not just a love story but it's a story about love. It has some purest form of love which was presented on screen as far as I see. The first half an hour of the film is so masterfully done so that, that itself enough to say that it's a best in it's genre. The characters are so relatable and the introverted love story was told in a pitch perfect form. And in the entire film it's so difficult to root for the particular character as each and everyone is so pure.
This film has many pros such as acting, cinematography, screenplay, direction and last but not least music and bgm. It has few cons which can be ignored as they are very minor mistakes.
I never thought that I could able to watch another movie which has the same passion as 96' had. This film is not for all for sure because it's a class film. And finally if you still don't want to watch it then it's a loss for you.
