The entire movie was quite awkward. It left me feeling uneasy. Jenna pretty much got her heart stomped on throughout the entire movie and Eric only proved that he was just a ‘boy’ after all, and not a man given his lack of action, reaction, and response when his mom checked him and Jenna after she caught them together in her home. And also, the mother’s revelation at the end about why she didn’t want to talk to him about his father was because her parents didn’t like him and abandoned her when he died and so she was hurt didn’t make much since for the big secret behind her not telling him about his father his whole life, because that should not be a reason not to tell a a person about their deceased parent. And all of a sudden in the end they’re one big happy family just because the demanding mother says so? Overall, the movie had potential, but was pretty weak… could have been better.

First off—-I just love Nicolas cage…period. But this movie was a disappointment—-Too complicated. The plot seemed unclear. At first it seemed the objective was to find out who was behind the large sum of money that bailed out the low level drug dealer because it seemed jim was just possibly being an honest cop, but then it all took an unexpected turn and the whole movie was actually about two dirty cops trying to steal from an unknown source and really not even knowing WHAT they were stealing. It ended poorly because the source was never revealed of who all of the money and diamonds belonged to and why it was so strategically hidden away in an underground vault below an apartment that was behind a freezer in the back of a convenience store—-that’s just way too much to even keep up with…so…who was the source—who did it all belong to and why? Who killed David in the end,… drug dealers, rich criminals, men from Mars???
