I really enjoyed this autobiography. The amount of detail that was shown as if Malcolm himself had written it was very impressive. This novel had me hooked from the beginning. It helped me learn a lot about what jail was like for black people in this time era. The microaggressions and racial slurs tossed around by the guards was a shock to me. I would recommend this book to anyone who needs a good slap in the face about racism and the privilege that comes with being white.
