The roles were well played by all.. I enjoyed the character development of Bei Erduo and Ye Shuwai with him relaxing his stern demeanour and her showing a tad more sophistication as the episodes progressed. His protective gestures gave insight to his internal emotions long before there was verbal expression. Humourous scenes were also well balanced with the serious. Actor portraying Ye Shuwai did excellently at showing that a masculine character can have be sensitive without becoming "less masculine". The various interwoven plots of the dual romances gave counter-balancing highs and lows. I was as equally crushed with Ms Tangs break up with Mr Yu as I was delighted with her ensuing relationship with Mars. I was happy when Shuwai began declaring intentions and eventually popped the question and equally heartbroken when Erduo returned ring (even though with reason) and left him at the airport...tears flowed. Still, you are left with the feeling that strong commitment and love on both sides that could help them work things out. Maybe cliche...dont care...loved it nonetheless.
