Hollis Hanover

This show is a lot of fun. It is not a science lesson. It is an entertaining string of action scenes with reasonably good young actors. The continuity girl was off the set some of the time: an example is when two of the kids hide in the cesspit of an outdoor toilet and emerge in the same clothes perfectly clean. So what? Stuff blows up, toothy aliens narrowly miss murdering frightened children, acrophobia is conquered in spine tingling ways, bicycle riding is learned by starting at the top of a canyon road. C'mon, guys. Watch it for fun.

A wonderful movie, but a day later I am feeling a little thick. Did the villagers use Emily Mortimer as a Judas Goat to lead Patricia Clarkson to an unheard of and devastating defeat while still preserving the secrecy of their own complicity in the plot?
