I’ve seen a lot of people that seem to be disappointed with the show due to things like a lack of jump scares. But the thing is, this show is still scary, just in a different way. It’s about how we are all forgotten in the end, how we fade away with time. And how love, which is meant to be so beautiful, can also be so painful. In the negative reviews I read, people said that they skipped episodes or stopped halfway through, and this is simply not a show where you can do that. Yes, it takes a second to build up, but the character development that happens in that span of time is so well done. If you just look for scares, you’re missing the point of the show. It’s a beautiful story about life and death, love and loss. I truly cried at the end, which is something that I’ve only done on one other occasion in my lifetime. The cinematography, the acting, the directing ... they were absolutely astounding. They truly created an amazing show that is now one of my favorites. I strongly recommend watching this.
