This movie have a cool concept but it miss in every aspect. The actor were great, but what was lacking was the story and the action of this movie. Spoiler ahead... What I found to be a big problem in this movie was the story. There wasn’t a lot of character depth. Art have a typical protagonist background he used to be in the military and have gone rogue after his daughter got kidnap and all he want is his daughter back. There is no explain how on He know what his power is When he use it. robin played by dominique did a great job with her acting, I just don’t get why her rapping talent have anything to do with the movie, the movie emphasis on her rapping talent ALOT but I personally find it meaningless it didn’t benefit her in any of the action scenes it could be any talent. I personally didn’t feel much connection with the Art’s daughter. There wasn’t enough screen time with her to make any connection of feeling toward her. I think it would be cooler if she actually died and Art went rampage and uses to the pill to get revenge on her. The villains of the movie doesn’t even have a solid reason. They just doing bad thing because they are bad. If you just think about the movie after watching it. A lot of thing doesn’t make sense. The action scenes: It disappointing to say the least. The people with power just get defeated by guns... or other object. Like why... what’s the point of power if gun just going to kill them, and of course Frank use the pill 2 times and both time it was bullet proof. Why are there no action scenes with just two people using the power pill and fight each other with the power they got? And the power that was actually was used was useless except in the beginning with the fire power, the rest I found it just boring or cool power but nothing came of it. And can I just said the only Asian actor of course is an assassin that eat the pill to have bone blade... like just use a gun they didn’t even notice that you was on top of them. conclusion: Great actor, great concept, horrible story and action. Could have been a great movie but This is at best mediocre.
