Each episode had so much going on that the original story plot was so convoluted. I feel like if they actually taken their time to break down the story line instead of packing so much into a 44 minute episode, the show could have been better. On top of the fact that I want to say that if you're going to do historical drama / fantasy, instead of being like the medicis or Da Vinci's Demons, where you know the show had its historical highlights and its own fantasy at the same time, or strictly the drama and over the top drama, and throwing in just enough fantasy monsters to call it a fantasy show really was part of a downfall for me. On top of that there were so many main characters that had their agendas it throws off the balance on the timeliness.
