I get the message that the director attempted to convey, but I think it could've been addressed in a different manner. One can argue that maybe the controversy is good because it forces the public to visualize the uncomfortable reality of how our hyper-sexualized society is influencing young teens and pre-teens to behave; however, it's ironic and hypocritical in nature by directing children to act in a sexualized manner because it puts these young girls at risk for predation and also crosses many boundaries that can honestly just be categorized as soft child pornography.
