My true judgement for this show might not become clear until season 2. Most Arrowverse shows besides Arrow, Flash and Black Lightning has had rough beginnings. Still, I see potential in the show. The acting needs work, the characters come off as daytime soap opera stars a lot of times.....Sophie in particular. sometimes I actually cringe looking her manuever through scenes. The year long plot with Alice is getting old fast. I almost wished she would have died leaving us with the good sister from another earth. Still, I give props for being a show with a lesbian lead rather than a lesbian super hero show. Kate deals with the ups and downs of being a lesbian super heroe but it doesn't define her or this show. Unike supergirl who can't help but put a social justice message in every single episode. The supporting is pretty good, but i could lose Commander Kane and Sophie along with any CROW elements. I find their parts of the show along with Alice as the worst. Beyond that I think that hopefully by next year they would have moved on from Alice and get to some of the meatier stories of Gotham.

To be truthful. If I was to drop a Arrowverse show it would be this show. I don't mind social justice episodes but, a show that takes baths in it every episode tend to wear to down with it. Every episode is looking to preach or have a social justice message. If they would allow this to get off of it's soapbox I might would enjoy it more. I wish they would even take a page from Batwoman. There are social justice episodes but the isn't built to live in that lane. Sadly, if the CW says tomorrow that supergirl is cancelled I wouldn't bink a eye.
