I'm a little late to this mixtape, but I'm glad I finally checked it out. I'm not really a Lil Baby fan (even though I do think he's very talented) but Gunna I have been a massive fan of since 2020. I checked this Tape out as I enjoyed the Gunna and Baby collabs Blindfold and 25K Jacket, and after coming across this album in a HMV store I just felt the need to Buy it. Anyway onto my thoughts on this tape.
This is the best trap collaboration I've heard in a while, both Gunna and Baby have energy when it comes to laying down bars of this tape, they both seem to bounce of off each others energy making for a very fun listen. They have an amazing chemistry that makes them seamlessly switch between each other on a Track. Lil Baby is easily the most interesting Lyrically out of the two artists, especially when talking from an emotional place, But Gunna's flows still remain the best imo, Both artists are great at flowing and writing Lyrics but its clear that one is stronger than the other with Both Gunna and Baby. The production on this tape is a little repetitive but its doesn't really bring this tape down as its a short tape, the production works really well for both artists, but if this project was any longer it may have started to get boring. The features on this tape range from Trash to amazing, my least favourite feature is Nav, his verse is so forgettable lyrically and his sound is just so Robotic and Boring. Just above Nav is Lil Durk, there's nothing really wrong with his sound but the Lyrics "Gotta suck dick on your period, You Can't say No I ain't hearin it" Just don't sit right with me. Next we have Young Thug, Thugger comes through with a fun and unique verse as usual, he was a perfect fit for the track "My Jeans" as he has great chemistry with Both Baby and Gunna. Finally we have drake, he generally has the best feature on this tape, and this is coming from someone who doesn't like Drakes music, but his verse just sounded so fresh and Bouncy on the song "Never recover" this song was a very High note to end the tape on.
At the time of me writing this review I have listened to this tape three times back to back and as of this moment my favourite songs from the tape are "I am" and "Never recover
Yep thats my review, if you read all that your a legend.
