A clear reminder to Mr.Prithviraj Sukumaran that no amounts of slow motion can make him a Super star. He needs to act not create caricatures. I am reminded of his movie Kaviathalaivan. The movie is a mish mash of recreation recent events like JNU, Hyderabad encounter etc. The only saving grace is Suraj Venjaaramoodu. He is probably the only reason we could sit through the first half. The let down starts when Prithviraj appears ...some injured lawyer seeking revenge. Then his preachy tales in an attempted baritone. Then the directors mess up. All in all an avoidable fair. All others are as usual side characters who do not have any depth like in all super star movies.Thankfully we don't find the usual Siddique as another extra attachment. I watched it on OTT so thank God did not hv to spend money in a theater.

Absolutely trash worthy film. Difficult to point at what is not missing in this film. The makers and the actors should have taken cue from the huge list of cop/crime content on OTT and Indian/ world cinema. Prabhudeva's acting chops are limited and he seems to be in no mood to deliver on a non existent script or story line. Disney content team has scored an absolute miss on this one. Watch at your own peril.

Andhadhun like 3 Idiots is a Classic from HIndi. Remaking it in any language is like what happened to the numerous remakes of Drishyam. You just see the gaps. Bhramam too helps us Showcase the gaps more than create new experience. In Malayalam Prithviraj the Actor is no match to the new gen actors like Fahad, Nivin, Dulquer (Earlier avatar) or even Asif Ali now. Here too (though he says in a Rediff interview he did not copy Ayushman) he is struggling to copy Ayushman, not able to match the latters Swag or non chalance or the ease with which he enacted the role. The movie would have done more justice to the original if a Fahad or even a Dulquer had done the Ayushman role. Prithvi in spite of all his efforts is a mis fit. Then comes Mamta trying to be Tabu. In a way this role by Mamta has been the biggest put off for this movie. Many a time I wanted to switch off the TV reminded of what Tabu achieved in the original. Same goes with Radhika apte and others from the original. If Prithvi had done the required tweaks to get a Malalyalam feel to the original this would have been a much better movie than what has come out. All in all an avoidable movie if you enjoyed the original. I would say a pretty pointless ode to the Orginal.

A stellar cast tied to bad direction and a cliched, pathetically written story. None of the three characters develop at all. You can do story telling against the background of impending death only when there is a story to tell. Here a cliched set of incidents make up the so called life story of the three ladies. The story is not " Tedhi or Medhi and by no means Crazy". Don't waste ur time on this one.

Neelakasam Pachakadal .... in Malayalam, Nandalala (Kikujiro) in Tamil are two road movies which comes to my mind when I think of the genre. They are like a string of pearls (Incidents, side stories) on a Gold thread (main story). Thats exactly the problem with this Tovino starrer, weak story, weaker script. The director even fails to set our heart on the core character he tries to show in the movie "the Bullet". A small time Joe (Tovino) with the usual "Prarabdhams" agrees to take a stereo typical American rich kid (Jarvis) on a road trip. The incidents that follow show that the Director and Script team have send their imagination on a road trip. Except for the occasional joke on Tovino's English (or the rather lack of it), there is'nt much much to talk about till they reach Rajastan. Now the film does not even try to explore the Culture or life style of the place (like most movies). You get a your Standard Mallu turned Rajastani whose character adds to the yawns. A movie which wanted to tell that "In our India Relationships matter more unlike America which is after money". Tovino has tried to pull some weight but the weak script, story line makes it tough for him. He probably needs to read his scripts a lot more before making his movie selections considering his competition - aka Nivin Paulie, Fahad Fazil. Jarvis and the rest of the supporting case have very little to do as the script ensures it lets them down terribly. All in all a "One time Watch" if you are sitting at home on a sunday feeling sleepy, nothing good to read or watch , else can be missed.

A classic movie that proves DqSalman was born with a Golden spoon, and has too much cash to waste. The movie has zero story and seems to be a vehichle to show case Gregory's face. Probably time that he realized he has neither the acting chops or looks to pull anything off. I used to be a great fan of Dq but now like Surya in Tamil he seems to be caught in the image. Story is absolutely MIA (missing in action). Looks like they invited every lady actor and paid them to walk across the screen. Don't waste your precious bandwidth and Netflix subscription on this one
