I saw this movie way back when, it was very good for the time it was made. The young actor was becoming a snake was very convincing. i was a teenage when it was a released and watching him becoming a snake haunted me for a long time; much more so than gory, bloody slasher or ghost movies.

This is such a great book! I enjoyed it immensely! Although listed as a children's book, it is a nostalgic, funny, endearing and historic look at the era. This is especially true for 60ish folks like myself, who were children of a like age of the book's 3 sisters at that time period. The characters are well developed and the dialog quite engaging and entertaining.
